How We Hold Our Convictions

We believe the Christian faith is not simply a list of doctrines we agree with. It is the good news of the God who has made Himself known: humanity has wandered from Him, a Savior has come to restore what was broken, the Spirit makes that restoration real in us, and the King is coming again to make all things new.

We seek to draw our beliefs from the Bible. We believe Scripture is God's Word and the final authority for what we believe and how we live.

At the same time, we recognize that Christians who faithfully seek to follow Scripture may reach different conclusions on matters that are not central to the Gospel. We want to hold such convictions with humility and charity, giving priority to what Scripture makes central—Jesus Christ, His Gospel, and the unity of His people. Our differences should never be allowed to overshadow these truths or unnecessarily divide Christ's Church.

For us, these convictions can be remembered through PORCH.

Proclaim · Overcome · Rejoice · Christ · Hope

These are not five separate beliefs, but five ways we understand and live out the same Gospel.
