Statement of Faith

God

We believe in one God—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—who created all things, created us for relationship with Himself, and has made Himself known through creation, through Scripture, and ultimately through Jesus Christ. We believe Scripture is God's Word, given through the Holy Spirit, trustworthy and authoritative for what we believe and how we live.

Salvation Through Christ

We believe humanity has rebelled against God and is broken by sin and death, separated from the life we were created to know. Yet God, in His grace and mercy, has acted to redeem us through Jesus Christ. We believe Jesus Christ is fully God and fully human, the eternal Son of God who became flesh for our salvation. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary, lived a sinless life, gave Himself for our sins, died, was bodily raised from the dead, ascended to the Father, and now reigns as Lord. We believe salvation is by God's grace through faith in Jesus Christ, not through our own works. Jesus Christ is the only way to reconciliation with God, and salvation is found in Him alone.

The Holy Spirit

We believe the Holy Spirit is God, who makes us alive in Christ, dwells within His people, assures us that we belong to God, transforms us into the likeness of Christ, empowers us to live holy lives, and gives spiritual gifts for the building up of the Church and the proclamation of the Gospel.

The Church

We believe the Church is the people of God and the Body of Christ, made up of all who belong to Jesus through faith. Through Christ, people from every nation who were once far from God have been brought near and made fellow citizens with God's people in the commonwealth of Israel. The Church is called to worship God, love one another, serve those in need, make disciples, proclaim the Gospel, and faithfully represent Jesus in the world.

Christ's Return

We believe that Jesus Christ will come again to raise the dead, judge the living and the dead, establish His kingdom in righteousness and peace, restore creation, and bring God's redemptive purposes to their appointed completion. We look forward to the resurrection of the dead, the defeat of evil, and the renewal of all things when Christ makes all things new.

This is the faith we proclaim, the life we seek to live, and the hope in which we stand.
